Why
“Tit Shu Community Lane” has transformed a section of Tit Shu Street in Tai Kok Tsui into a vibrant “Community Living Room” through public furniture, sound installations, and innovative pathway design. This approach provides a welcoming space for socializing while reconnecting previously separated streets, fostering greater interaction among residents.

ARTA Architects added communal tables and musical instruments to the existing balustrades, creating an area for relaxation, conversation, and music. The mini tables are accessible from both sides of the street, breaking down barriers and enhancing interaction. Resident stories were integrated into the flooring design, inviting visitors to explore the area’s charm. Overall, “Tit Shu Community Lane” promotes intergenerational interaction, strengthens community cohesion, and fosters a sense of belonging for everyone.
