As a lover of nature but living in the city centre, the client requested to have the home give an illusion of a countryside retreat. Thus, conceptual elements of nature are incorporated into this home design through the use of natural materials, soothing colours and gentle curves inspired by the mountains and the sea. As natural light was scarce, every little bit was sculpted to maximize its effect within the home whilst framing the views of greenery. Playful recessed frames respond to the forms of the existing apartment to create a secluded cave-like retreat.
