Why
We are proud to collaborate with the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) on the design of the Flower Market 2.0 (花墟2.0試業空間), a forward-looking initiative driven by the innovative use of Modular Integrated Construction (MiC). The project was featured as the A1 headline in Ming Pao Daily News in early May 2026.

Designed to support flower shop operators affected by the Sai Yee Street / Flower Market Road Development Scheme, the project provides a seamless transition by enabling them to continue operating within the Flower Market while preserving and revitalising its distinctive character and vitality.

The use of MiC redefines how the Flower Market 2.0 is conceived and delivered. By shifting the majority of construction off-site, this approach significantly reduces on-site disruption, minimising noise, dust, and congestion while allowing the vibrant daily life of the Flower Market to continue uninterrupted. MiC also accelerates project delivery and unlocks adaptable, efficient layouts tailored to the diverse needs of flower shop operators.

More than a transitional space, the Flower Market 2.0 is a catalyst for the Flower Market’s future growth, helping it thrives. It introduces approximately 200 square metres of flexible, event-ready space for busking, weekend pop-ups, and creative workshops aiming to energise the area, attracting visitors, and fostering a dynamic, community-focused destination.
